Sticky chicken with noodles
- 250 gram chicken thigh fillets, trimmed, thickly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon chinese five-spice powder
- 2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
- 2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon olive oil
- 60 gram bean thread vermicelli
- 300 gram gai lan, trimmed, cut into 5cm lengths
- 2 tablespoon water
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted
Method
Sticky chicken with noodles
- 1In a medium bowl, combine chicken with spice, sugar and half of the sauces.
- 2Heat oil in a wok over high heat; stir-fry chicken mixture, in batches, until chicken is browned and sticky. Remove from wok. Wipe wok clean.
- 3In a large heatproof bowl, meanwhile, place noodles cover with boiling water; stand 5 minutes or until tender; drain.
- 4Add gai lan to wok with the water; stir-fry 1 minute or until just tender. Add remaining sauces; stir-fry 1 minute or until heat through. Add noodles to wok; toss until just combined.
- 5Top noodles with chicken; sprinkle with onion, coriander and sesame seeds to serve.
