Spiced beef and hummus wraps
- 800 cup thick boneless sirloin steaks
- 2 tablespoon middle eastern spice mix
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 piece mountain bread or lavash or pitta
- 1/2 cup (130g) hummus
- 2 large (180g) tomatoes, sliced thickly
- 1 baby (180g) cos lettuce
- 1/4 cup (70g) greek-style yoghurt
Method
Spiced beef and hummus wraps
- 1Trim excess fat from steaks. Sprinkle steaks with spice mix.
- 2Cook steaks on a heated, oiled grill pan (or barbecue or pan-fry) about 5 minutes each side, or until done as desired. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 3Serve steaks sliced with bread, hummus, tomatoes, lettuce and yoghurt.
