Raisin and honey oat bread
- 1 3/4 cup (260g) self-raising flour
- 1/2 cup (110g) firmly packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup (60g) rolled oats
- 1 cup (180g) raisins
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup (125ml) buttermilk
- 1/2 cup (125ml) vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup (90g) honey
Method
Raisin and honey oat bread
- 1Preheat oven to 180ºC/160ºC fan-forced. Grease 12cm x 22cm loaf pan; line base and long sides with baking paper, extending paper 5cm over sides.
- 2Sift flour into large bowl; stir in sugar, oats and raisins. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil and honey; stir to combine.
- 3Spread mixture into pan; bake about 1 hour. Stand loaf in pan 10 minutes; turn, top-side up, onto wire rack to cool.
