Method
1.Preheat oven to 120°C (100°C fan-forced). Grease and line two oven trays.
2.Beat egg whites in small bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until dissolved between additions.
3.Divide mixture into three separate bowls; tint with food colourings.
4.Spoon mixture into piping bag fitted with 5mm fluted tube. Pipe meringues onto trays 2cm apart; top each meringue with a cherry piece.
5.Bake meringues about 45 minutes. Cool in oven with door ajar.
Use a clean piping and tube for each different coloured meringue.
