Pop some healthy veggies into the kids favourite macaroni and cheese dish. With grated carrot, broccoli and crispy bacon rashers there's no need to feel guilty about this cheesy pasta delight.
1.Add pasta to a large pan of boiling, salted water; boil, uncovered, until just tender. Add broccoli 1 minute before end of cooking time; drain. Return to pan to keep warm.
2.Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan, cook onion, bacon and garlic, stirring, until the bacon is crisp. Add cream Cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in half the parmesan cheese.
3.Preheat grill to high.
4.Add the sauce to the pasta; stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to an oiled (2-litre/8-cup capacity) ovenproof dish. Top with the combined remaining parmesan and cheddar cheese. Grill until cheese is browned lightly.
5.Serve with salad, if desired. Not suitable to freeze. Not suitable to microwave.
