Pork sausages with crispy potatoes and cabbage

A super quick and easy pork sausage dish with crispy potatoes and cabbage for those busy midweek dinners.

Pork sausages with crispy potatoes and cabbage
  • 750 gram desirée potatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil
  • 8 pork sausages (600g)
  • 2 rindless bacon slices (130g), chopped coarsely
  • 4 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 small_piece cabbage (600g), shredded finely

    Microwave potatoes, covered, in a heatproof bowl, on high (100%) for about 6 minutes or until just tender.

    Heat 2 teaspoons of the oil in a large frying pan over high heat; cook sausages, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove from pan; cover to keep warm.

    Heat 2½ tablespoons of the remaining oil in a large saucepan over high heat; cook bacon, stirring, until browned. Add garlic, stirring, until fragrant. Add cabbage, reduce heat to low; cook, covered, about 5 minutes or until tender, stirring halfway through cooking time.

    Meanwhile, heat remaining oil in same frying pan; cook potatoes, turning, about 10 minutes or until golden and crisp.

    Serve sausages with cabbage and potatoes.


Use a mandoline or V-slicer to finely shred the cabbage.
