Ingredients

Pineapple wedges with palm sugar
  • 1 pineapple (1.2kg), peeled
  • 60 gram grated palm sugar

Method

    Cut pineapple into eight wedges; remove core from each
  • 2
    Preheat grill to 200&degC.
  • 3
    Place pineapple on oven tray; sprinkle each wedge with sugar. Cook under grill until sugar is melted and pineapple is lightly golden (watch the sugar carefully as it melts much faster than white sugar).

    Serve immediately

Notes

Warn your guests that the sugar on the pineapple will be extremely hot.
