Oysters with chive bechamel
  • 20 gram butter
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) milk
  • pinch dried chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives
  • 12 oysters, on the half shell

Method

Oysters with chive bechamel

    Preheat grill.
  • 2
    Melt butter in small saucepan; add flour, stir until mixture bubbles and thickens. Gradually add milk; stir until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat. Stir in chilli and chives.

    Place oysters on oven tray; top with chive mixture. Place under preheated grill about 5 minutes or until browned lightly. Serve immediately.
