Oysters with chive bechamel
- 20 gram butter
- 1 tablespoon plain flour
- 1/2 cup (125ml) milk
- pinch dried chilli flakes
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives
- 12 oysters, on the half shell
Method
Oysters with chive bechamel
- 1Preheat grill.
- 2Melt butter in small saucepan; add flour, stir until mixture bubbles and thickens. Gradually add milk; stir until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat. Stir in chilli and chives.
- 3Place oysters on oven tray; top with chive mixture. Place under preheated grill about 5 minutes or until browned lightly. Serve immediately.
