Nutty shortbread balls

Pop a few of these tasty treats in your mouth for a light afternoon snack. The soft shortbread balls are filled with crunchy almond chunks, perfect with a cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan-forced). Line an oven tray with baking paper.
2.Place flour in a medium bowl; rub in butter. Add remaining ingredients and knead together on a clean surface until mixture comes together. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Place on prepared tray, bake for 15 minutes or until light golden brown.
3.While short bread balls are still hot, toss in caster sugar.

Suitable to freeze. Not suitable to microwave.
