Mushroom sauce

A rich creamy mushroom sauce is the perfect accompaniment to your favourite steak dinner.
Pair with creamy mash and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 40 grams butter
  • 400 grams halved button mushrooms
  • 1 crushed clove garlic
  • ¾ cup beef stock
  • ¾ cup pouring cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

Method

    Melt butter in pan over medium-high heat; cook mushrooms, stirring, until browned. Add garlic; stir for 1 minute.

    Stir in beef stock and cream; simmer until thickened slightly.

    Stir in parsley. Serve with steak.
