Mango and strawberry jam

Mango and strawberry jam
  • 1 kilogram (2 pounds) mangoes, chopped coarsely
  • 750 gram (1½ pounds) strawberries, hulled, halved
  • 1 kilogram (2 pounds) white (granulated) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) lemon juice

    Combine ingredients in large saucepan; stir over high heat, without boiling, until sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil; boil, uncovered, without stirring, about 30 minutes or until jam jells when tested.

    Pour hot jam into hot sterilised jars; seal immediately. Label and date jars when cold.
