Homemade lemonade
  • 2 1/2 cup (550g) sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup (250ml) lemon juice
  • ice, chilled still or sparkling water, to serve

    In a saucepan combine sugar and water on low heat. Stir constantly for 3 minutes, until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil 2 minutes, without stirring. Pour into a jug, stir through lemon juice and refrigerate until cold.

    Place ice in glasses, pour over a little lemonade concentrate and top up with chilled water to serve.
