Ham and cheese macaroni
- 1 1/2 cup grated tasty cheese
- 250 gram macaroni
- 2 tablespoon cornflour
- 600 millilitre milk
- 175 gram ham off the bone, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
Method
Ham and cheese macaroni
- 1Cook macaroni in a large pan of boiling water until al-dente (just tender), drain. Blend cornflour with a small amount of the milk in a medium saucepan until smooth, then stir in remaining milk. Place pan over heat and stir constantly until sauce boils and thickens. Combine sauce, macaroni, ham, parsley and 1 cup of the grated cheese in a large bowl.
- 2Divide mixture into 6 x 175ml capacity, greased ramekin dishes and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. Place dishes on an oven tray, and bake in a 180°C (160°C fan forced) preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until tops are golden.
