Ingredients

Ham and asparagus grill
  • 340 gram (11 ounces) canned asparagus, drained
  • 1 (430g) loaf turkish bread
  • 2 medium_piece (300g) tomatoes, sliced
  • 200 gram (6½ ounces) low-fat shaved ham
  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped
  • 1 small_piece (100g) red onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup (100g) low-fat mozzarella, coarsely grated

Method

    Preheat grill (broiler).

    Place asparagus in a small bowl, mash with a fork until almost smooth.

    Quarter bread, split pieces horizontally. Toast both sides.

    Spread asparagus over toasts. Divide remaining ingredients among toasts, finishing with cheese, cook under hot grill until cheese melts.
