Ham and asparagus grill
- 340 gram (11 ounces) canned asparagus, drained
- 1 (430g) loaf turkish bread
- 2 medium_piece (300g) tomatoes, sliced
- 200 gram (6½ ounces) low-fat shaved ham
- 2 tablespoon fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped
- 1 small_piece (100g) red onion, sliced thinly
- 1 cup (100g) low-fat mozzarella, coarsely grated
Method
Ham and asparagus grill
- 1Preheat grill (broiler).
- 2Place asparagus in a small bowl, mash with a fork until almost smooth.
- 3Quarter bread, split pieces horizontally. Toast both sides.
- 4Spread asparagus over toasts. Divide remaining ingredients among toasts, finishing with cheese, cook under hot grill until cheese melts.
