There's no need to drink this green smoothie purely for the health benefits. The ingredients combined together are fresh and delicious with a wonderful gingery kick. You could substitute the lime for lemon, or kiwifruit, if you like.

Green fruit and vegetable smoothie
  • 1 lime, peeled, coarsely chopped
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, coarsely chopped
  • 1 lebanese cucumber, peeled, coarsely chopped
  • 320 millilitre canned coconut water
  • 30 gram baby spinach leaves
  • 5 gram finely grated ginger

    Blend or process lime, apple, cucumber, coconut water, baby spinach leaves finely grated ginger until smooth.


Use a variety of green vegetables or fruits, such as lettuce, pear, kiwi, honeydew melon or mango.
