There is nothing better than the scent of home-baked bread wafting through the house. Try this delicious gluten-free version.

Ingredients

Gluten-free bread
  • 3 cup (450g) gluten-free plain flour
  • 1 1/4 cup (180g) buckwheat flour
  • 2 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (160g) sunflower seed kernels
  • 70 gram butter, chopped
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 teaspoon poppy seeds

Method

    Sift flours, baking powder and salt into large bowl; stir in kernels.

    Rub in butter; stir in combined milk and eggs; do not overmix. Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Press mixture into greased 14cm x 21cm loaf pan; do not smooth top. Brush with a little extra milk, sprinkle with seeds. Bake about 1 hour. Stand bread 10 minutes before turning onto wire rack to cool.
