Ingredients

Glazed fig bruschetta
  • 6 medium_piece figs
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 2/3 cup thickened (heavy) cream
  • 1 tablespoon icing (confectioners') sugar in small bowl
  • 1/3 cup mascarpone cheese

Method

    Cut figs in half, drizzle cut-sides with honey. Place figs, cut-side down, in heated large frying pan, cook until figs are warmed through. Add water to pan, remove from heat.

    Meanwhile, beat cream and icing sugar in small bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form. Beat in mascarpone cheese. Toast four thick slices of brioche. Spread one side of each brioche with mascarpone mixture, top with fig halves.
