French apple quince tarts
  • 1 sheet butter puff pastry
  • 50 gram quince paste
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 2 (260g) apples, peeled, quartered, cored, thinly sliced

    Preheat oven to 200°C. Line large oven tray with baking paper.

    Cut four 11cm rounds from the pastry and place on tray about 3cm apart. Heat quince paste with water in small saucepan until smooth. Brush pastry with some of the quince mixture.

    Overlap apple slices on pastry. Brush apple with a little more quince mixture. Bake about 20 minutes or until pastry is crisp and apple is tender.

    Brush tarts with remaining quince mixture; serve warm.
