Creamed spinach
This simple side dish is a great way to use up any old bags of spinach floating around in the back of the fridge.
The creaminess will get even the biggest hold outs forgetting they're eating spinach and turn them into a fan of leafy greens. It might seem like a lot of spinach, but we all know how spinach boils down into almost nothing.

Ingredients

Creamed spinach
  • 20 gram butter
  • 600 gram spinach, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) cream

Method

Creamed spinach

    Melt butter in large frying pan; cook spinach, stirring, until wilted.
  • 2
    Add cream; bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until liquid reduces by half.
