Chunky ham and fig sandwiches
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 4 slice soy and linseed bread
  • 2 medium figs, sliced thinly
  • 160 gram sliced leg ham off the bone
  • 2/3 cup (80 grams) coarsely grated cheddar
  • 20 gram butter, softened
  • 20 gram watercress, optional


Chunky ham and fig sandwiches

    Combine mayonnaise and mustard in a small bowl.
  • 2
    Spread mayonnaise mixture on one slice of bread, top with fig, ham and cheese. Top with remaining bread slice.

    Butter outside of bread; toast sandwich in a heated sandwich press. Serve with watercress.


Spread bread with a little fig jam when fresh figs are not available.
