Chinese barbecued spare ribs
- 3/4 cup (180ml) barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 cup (60ml) orange juice
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 centimetre piece fresh ginger (10g), grated
- 2 kilogram slabs american-style pork spareribs
Method
Chinese barbecued spare ribs
- 1Combine sauces, honey, juice, sugar, garlic and ginger in large shallow dish; add ribs, turn to coat in marinade. Cover; refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
- 2Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced).
- 3Brush ribs both sides with marinade; place, in single layer, in large shallow baking dish; roast, covered, 45 minutes. Uncover; roast about 15 minutes or until ribs are browned. Serve with fried rice, if desired.
