Cherry, pistachio, cardamom and kombucha smoothie
  • 1 1/2 cup (360ml) kombucha
  • 1 cup (125g) frozen peach slices, thawed
  • 2 tablespoon (15g) shelled pistachios
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 small frozen banana
  • 1 cup (150g) frozen pitted sweet cherries

    Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid. Select Variable 1. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.

    Blend for 1 minute 20 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.


Adding nuts to your smoothie is a great way to add additional fibre, protein and fat, helping you stay fuller longer. This recipe was been written for the Vitamix C-Series machines (with Variable Speed control and Standard 2.0-litre container). If you are using a different Vitamix or blender, you may need to make adjustments to the speed, processing time, and/or ingredient quantities. This flavoursome smoothie is naturally fruity, sweet and spicy, and the addition of fizzy kombucha brings a beautiful dose of probiotics.
