Barbecued kumara slices
  • 2 large_piece kumara (1kg), cut into 1cm slices
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method

    Boil, steam or microwave kumara until just tender; drain.

    Cook kumara on heated oiled barbecue until browned. Turn, brush with combined garlic, golden syrup, vinegar and cinnamon; cook until browned and tender.
