Almond crumble nectarines

This summer dessert is simple and absolutely delicious, especially with a dollop of mascarpone on top.

Almond crumble nectarines
  • 4 nectarines
  • 2 tablespoon plain (all-purpose) flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon flaked almonds
  • 1/4 cup muesli
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter
  • 1/2 cup sweet dessert wine

    Halve and remove stones from nectarines. Combine flour, cinnamon, sugar, flaked almonds and muesli in small bowl with softened butter.

    Spoon mixture into hollows in nectarines; place, filling-side up, in baking dish. Pour dessert wine into dish, cover; cook on heated barbecue (or grill or grill plate) about 15 minutes or until warmed through. Serve with mascarpone, crème fraîche, cream or ice-cream.
