1.Coarsely grate potatoes; squeeze out as much excess liquid as possible. Combine potatoes, butter and dill in medium bowl.
2.Heat oil in large frying pan. shape level tablespoons of potato mixture into patties; cook patties, in batches, until browned lightly both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
3.Divide crème fraîche and smoked salmon among rösti. Serve topped with dill sprigs, if desired.
