Method

1.Combine maple syrup and liqueur in a small bowl; brush about a quarter of the mixture over the cut-sides of bananas.
2.Cook bananas, cut-side down, on a heated lightly oiled grill plate (or grill or barbecue) for about 3 minutes or until lightly browned and heated through.
3.Meanwhile, warm remaining syrup and coconut in a small saucepan.
4.Serve bananas while hot, drizzled with warmed syrup mixture.

Malibu is the brand name of a rum-based coconut liqueur.
