Wheatmeal rolls

1.Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F. Lightly grease two oven trays.
2.Sift flours, sugar and salt into large bowl; rub in butter. Stir in wheatmeal and enough milk to give a soft dough. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth.
3.Divide dough into 12 portions. Knead each portion until smooth. Place 1 roll in centre and 5 rolls, almost touching, around outside on trays. Brush rolls with combined egg yolk and extra milk.
4.Sprinkle one roll on each tray with ¼ teaspoon of one of the roll toppings, not repeating a topping on the same tray. (Each batch of rolls should have all the different toppings.)
5.Bake rolls about 20 minutes or until browned.
