1.Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan-forced). Grease oven trays.
2.Process oats until chopped finely. Add butter and sifted dry ingredients; pulse until crumbly. Add milk; process until mixture comes together. Knead dough gently on floured surface until smooth.
3.Divide dough in half; roll each half between sheets of baking paper until 3mm thick. Cut dough into 3cm squares. Using spatula, carefully place oat cakes on trays.
4.Bake oat cakes 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool oat cakes on trays 5 minutes; transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Serve oat cakes topped with a small piece of cheese and a little jam.
