1.Preheat oven to 190°C (170°C fan-forced). Grease two oven trays; line with baking paper.
2.Cut each apple into eight wedges; remove cores.
3.Cut 16 x 10cm rounds from pastry sheets. Drop rounded teaspoons of spread into centre of each round; top each with an apple wedge. Brush edges with a little egg white; fold rounds in half to enclose filling, pinch edges to seal. Place on trays.
4.Brush turnovers with remaining egg white; sprinkle with sugar. Bake about 20 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
